Lotto24 receives »Hamburg's Best Employers« quality seal

- Top marks for leading online provider of state-licensed lotteries
- Special award in »Family-Friendly« category
Hamburg, 5 February 2015 - Two-and-a-half years after its foundation, Lotto24 AG - Germany's leading online provider of state-licensed lotteries - has been named as one of the winners of the »Hamburg's Best Employers« competition, receiving a maximum five stars. Lotto24 also picked up a special award in the »Family-Friendly« category.

267 Hamburg-based companies took part in the competition, which is run annually by Hamburg's Helmut Schmidt University, the »IMWF« Institute for Management and Economic Research, the radio station »alsterradio 106.8« and local newspaper »Hamburger Abendblatt«. Only nine participating companies achieved the top score of five stars.

'We are delighted with the award and in particular with the overwhelming feedback from our staff, who play a major role in our success. This award confirms our belief that success, an enjoyable job and a family-friendly working environment are all compatible with each other,' says Petra von Strombeck, CEO of Lotto24 AG.

The main criteria for the award are outstanding HR work, corporate culture and professional quality - all factors in which the jury believes Lotto24 AG excels. The scientific basis for assessing the candidates is a survey of management and staff based on the highly acclaimed Excellence Model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (»EFQM«).

Since its foundation, Lotto24 has always endeavoured to align the dynamics of a modern company with the needs of its employees. For example, it offers flexible working hour models and the possibility to work from home. The Executive Board members Petra von Strombeck and Magnus von Zitzewitz also attach great importance to flat hierarchies, fast decision-making processes and transparent communication. The company conducts regular staff surveys and quickly implements ideas and proposals on how to optimise processes. Team skills are particularly important for Lotto24, as its employees have a wide variety of personality styles and professional backgrounds: from marketing experts and finance specialists, to call centre staff and IT professionals.

The »Hamburg's Best Employers« award shows that Lotto24's HR strategy has been rewarded with a high level of job satisfaction and above-average staff commitment. 'After all, motivated and satisfied employees are also a prerequisite for our future success,' says Petra von Strombeck.

Lotto24 is currently expanding its IT department and recruiting for numerous new positions.
